O’SHEA’S CROSSING REST AREA

Public BBQ

Cormorant Bay Recreational Reserve is a peaceful and scenic spot nestled by the Brisbane River, ideal for picnics and chilling by the water. The clean and separate male and female restrooms enhance the comfort of the visitors. Although not pet-friendly, the park provides a tranquil space for rest during travel, with well-maintained grass and good fishing spots. The area has been affected by drought, impacting the river's flow and the park's lushness. Nonetheless, its natural beauty remains, with mist over the water in the mornings and the Milky Way visible due to minimal light pollution. The steep descent to the river may pose a challenge for some. The park is a perfect spot for canoeing and fishing, though long grass near the banks may require caution. The lack of strong telecommunications signal is a drawback.
